Peterborough Volunteer Awards 2007 - Report of last years Event

The annual Peterborough Volunteer Awards Evening was held on Thursday 22nd November 2007 at Peterborough Town Hall.

This was the 12th Annual Awards Evening hosted by Peterborough Volunteer Centre and Peterborough Council for Voluntary Service. The Awards Evening was attended by Mayoress of Peterborough, Marion Todd who presented the awards! We had sponsorship from John Lewis, their generous donation enabled us to provide refreshments on the night. The event was again a wonderful success with many local volunteers recognised for their work in the communities of Peterborough. Thanks to all who supported our event and attended.

How to nominate volunteers

Peterborough Volunteer AwardsThe Peterborough Volunteer Awards Evening is a unique and prestigious event designed to recognise, in part, the valuable contribution made by local people in supporting our community. Volunteers come from many walks of life and give their time and energy freely in helping many groups, organizations and charities meet their goals.

The Peterborough Volunteer Awards evening has, over the years, provided an ideal opportunity for you and your organization to recognise and celebrate the contribution of volunteers.

What do you have to do? In the first instance decide who you would like to nominate and the reasons for your choice. Then obtain a Nominations Pack either directly from PCVS or by downloading a pack from this page. The pack itself contains guidelines for nominations and other information.
