VOICE stands for - Volunteer Organisers Information Communication Exchange.
VOICE is intended to be a supportive group for anyone involved in co-ordinating, managing, training or supporting volunteers. VOICE gives you the opportunity to meet and compare notes with other local people who work with volunteers in different situations. Also, we bring in speakers to talk about specific areas of interest (like EC Volunteer Legislation, health and safety, good practice etc). Membership is free.
You may be interested n VOICE if:
:: You are a volunteer trainer
:: You are a volunteer manager or co-ordinator
:: You recruit volunteers for your group
:: You 'place' volunteers within your organizaton
:: You support volunteers in other ways
VOICE meetings happen at lunch time and you are more than welcome to bring lunch with you as the atmosphere is relaxed and informal.

Wednesday 17th December - 12.30pm - Guest - Klare Lynch, Involving Volunteers with Learning Disabilities.
Please note, the new format for meetings 2008, will be Guest Speaker followed by network discussions.

Every year volunteers are nominated for awards in recognition of their achievements. Nominations may be based on :

:: Commitment and dedication
:: Outstanding performance
:: For for any other reason their coordinator feels they deserve recognition
