PCVS offers a training session about setting up a new group. Here we will cover what you need to set up a group and different group structures. Please sign on to the next available session to join up. We will also discuss free membership to PCVS and how you can join.
PCVS offers the Five Star Focus programme which aims to raise standards in volunteering by covering five areas of volunteering from recruitment to retention. This is a chargeable service which goes into an in-depth review of your volunteering paperwork – please see Five Star Focus for more details.

PCVS offers our members a monthly funding newsletter as well as regular Funding Club meetings. We are also able to offer chargeable services for bid/grant writing – please email communities@pcvs.co.uk for details.
There is no set criteria for the projects, as long as they are community based and attend to healthy lifestyles, community connection, making a difference and feeling safe in communities. The funding has empowered and enabled many groups to deliver projects that they saw was a need in their community.
The funding is aimed at small groups with income under £30k. You must be a registered and incorporated organisation, but we can support you with this prior to receiving the funding.
Groups will be required to reapply completing the same application process regardless of whether they are continuing a previously run project and have received funding in the past. Also they can only reapply if they have submitted their funding report from the previous round.
It is free to join if you are a community group or charity in Peterborough. All you need to do is fill out a form, which you can request by emailing communities@pcvs.co.uk.
