Funding Sports and Physical Activity

People’s Postcode Lottery Community Grants

01/07/2026

Sported supports sport and physical activity community projects thanks to funding raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. The programme is delivering grants and support to groups in England, Scotland and Wales.

The funding is being distributed by Sported to community organisations delivering sport and physical activity for wider social purpose.

Grants of up to £25,000 will support a wide range of projects and activities that address local need, promote social inclusion, and strengthen communities in underserved areas.

Funding dates 2026
Sported will run three funding rounds in 2026. Funding round dates differ depending on where your organisation is based.

For organisations based in the East of England,  funding rounds are as follows:

Round 1: 25th March 9am – 1st April 12noon

Round 2: 24th June 9am – 1st July 12noon

Round 3: 24th September 9am – 1st October 12noon

For most organisations, it will be clear which Trust you fall under. For organisations based on regional borders, you can click on the People’s Postcode Lottery Trust you think is most likely and enter your postcode. If you go through to the wrong Trust, it will redirect you and tell you in which Trust area you are based. Please ensure you double check the Trust area in which you are based and note the relevant funding dates.
