Application windows are as follows:

Themed Grants: 1st – 30th September

Our theme for the year 2025 is ‘The rehabilitation of imprisoned and formerly-imprisoned offenders in England & Wales’. Grants up to a maximum of £40,000 are available to charities with a turnover of less than £5 million. We have £600,000 available to distribute.

Small Grants: 1st – 31st December

Grants up to a maximum of £10,000 are available to charities with a turnover of less than £250,000. We aim to award these grants to charities who rely on volunteer support and make an impact in their communities. We will have £550,000 to distribute.

We will aim to have grants distributed within three months of the closure date for applications.

We’ll only accept applications that:

  1. Are made by charities registered in England and Wales.
  2. Come through our online application process.
  3. Are made by charities with an income of less than £5m a year in respect of themed grants and £250,000 a year in respect of small grants.

We award grants according to four priorities. Before you apply, review these to make sure your charity’s a good fit:

  • Improve the quality of life of individuals and families
  • Invest in well run organisations
  • Ensure grant-making rigour
  • Give with confidence
