PCVS host celebration event for projects funded by Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA)

18th May, 2026

On Tuesday 12th May PCVS were honoured to host a celebration event at Allia Future Business Centre, with our partners Support Cambridgeshire, Cambridgeshire Community Foundation (CCF) and Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA).

The event celebrated the achievements of the learning and skills projects funded by Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA). It was a testament to their commitment to support the learning and skills offer for adults in Cambridgeshire. The fund managed by Cambridgeshire Community Foundation (CCF) has awarded over  £280,000 in grants to support this initiative, aiming to reduce inequalities in access to Adult Education.

It was heart warming to hear such humbling, uplifting and inspiring stories directly from the project leads and also from a number of learners who were able to share their own unique journeys.

A huge tank you to those organisations who shared their stories – Abbey People, Oblique Arts, Compas Charity, The Woman You Are (TWYA), CP Learning Trust Charity, Papworth Trust, Peterborough Asylum and Refugee Community Association (PARCA).

Also many thanks to the stall holders who shared information around employment, learning and skills City College Peterborough, Steadfast Training Ltd, Inspire Education Group (IEG) and Back to Work.
