Five Star Focus Scheme
Five Star Focus is a three year accreditation scheme for all organisations, community groups and sports clubs that work with volunteers. It covers five areas of volunteering and ensures organisations have the infrastructure in place to manage volunteers.
The 5 areas the scheme focusses on are:
- Planning for volunteer involvement
- Recruitment and induction
- Support and safety
- Training and personal development
- Involving, rewarding and recognising volunteers
The scheme endorses excellence in volunteer management to help you successfully recruit, retain and value volunteers.

For further assistance, organisations can also register to attend a workshop (usually priced at £75 per person per workshop, minimum of 10 people required) or pay for a follow-up one-on-one consultation.
