Personal Assistants Register

Set up in partnership with Peterborough City Council, the Personal Assistants Register (PA register) aims to make it easier for PAs to advertise their skills and availability to potential employers.

Joining is free and will give you access to a range of training opportunities and a monthly support group. It also increases your visibility to organisations looking to recruit PAs. You can find more information by downloading our PA Register leaflet

An Invitation!

Peterborough City Council is pleased to invite you to their upcoming AI event on 1st April 2026 from 10:30 to 12:00 at Sand Martin House.

The event is for both the public and providers to shape the future of how AI is used in social care in Peterborough. It follows previous events and will focus on building a collaborative roadmap for both the council and providers to utilise AI in the work going forward.

They would love to see you there as your insights and experience are valued in shaping this initiative.

Personal assistants can provide help with your care and support needs, including:

Looking for a Handyperson?

Peterborough City Council’s Care and Repair service assists older, vulnerable and disabled people to repair, maintain and adapt their homes to enable independent living in homes that are warm and safe. It has a handyperson scheme. Helps clients claim Disabled Facility Grants and Repairs Assistance Grants. It can help with heating problems and runs projects that are dependent on funding and the time of year that can help with boiler and gas fire servicing/repair and fuel poverty.

Examples of the handyperson service include minor plumbing, fixing loose floorboards and trip hazards, putting up curtain rails, fitting grab bars, handrails, small electrical jobs, fitting key safes, moving furniture for hospital discharge or for health, moving items for bulky waste collection, gas safety work, hang clocks.
