Change of CEO at Peterborough Council for Voluntary Service

Peterborough Council for Voluntary Service (PCVS) announce the departure of Christina Alexander as CEO following her decision to step down from the role. During her 15 months in the post, Christina has done much to bring communities in Peterborough together and to further the agenda of PCVS in addressing inequalities. We thank her for her contribution and wish her well for the future.

The board of trustees further announce that our Chairman, Jonathan Jelley MBE JP, will step down from the board to become acting CEO with immediate effect for an initial 6 month period. The trustees have acted swiftly in making this appointment and are very grateful to Jonathan for agreeing to bring his experience and leadership to the daily operations of PCVS.

Jonathan said “I am delighted to take up the role of acting CEO at PCVS and will endeavour to bring fresh leadership to the charity. PCVS is an important charity in the City of Peterborough that has been doing exceptional work for over 40 years. It also has tremendous potential to achieve even greater impact in the future. I look forward to working with members, stakeholders, partners, trustees and staff to further strengthen the Voluntary and Community sector in Peterborough in these challenging times.”

The board also announce the appointment of current trustees Sheila Walsh and Eva Woods as acting co-Chairs.
